A. Ranthambhore National Park remains open 1st October to 30th June. Rest of the time park remains closed due to the rainy season from July to September for the Visitors, and the Best Time to visit Ranthambore is November to April.
Q. Which is the best way to access Ranthamnbore (Sawai Madhopur)?
A. Ranthambore is 180 kms from Jaipur and 280 kms from Agra, most visitors drive down to Ranthambhore through Tonk (on the way from Jaipur) or Dausa (on the way from Agra). We, however, recommend that you take a train to Sawai Madhopur. This town lies on the main Delhi - Mumbai train route and has excellent train connections with all the major cities and station in India.

It is very close to Ranthambhore National Park, so it is possible to stay in the town and visit the park during the day. Q. Which is a better mode of jungle safari - Jeep OR Canter?
A. Both Vehicles are good for jungle safari but Jeeps are more personal, more expensive and less noisy, but both Canters (Open top roof bus) and Jeep travel on the same tracks. Both offer the same opportunity for wildlife viewing. Generally speaking, Jeeps are better for smaller groups (4-6 persons) and for special interest visitors, such as photographers, birders etc. For larger groups (10 to 20 persons) Canters are actually better than taking 2-3 Jeeps because everyone in the group goes through similar experiences.
Q. When is better time for safari - Morning OR Afternoon?
A. The best wildlife viewing occurs when the sun is not strong - early mornings or late evenings, but very broadly speaking, mornings are better during summers and evenings are better in the winters.
Q. What are the timings for safaris, into the Ranthambore Tiger Reserve?
A. The Park timings depend on the time of the sunrise and sunset. Generally speaking, the Park opens to the tourists half an hour after sunrise and closes half an hour before sunset. In winters, due to the shorter duration of daylight hours, the morning entry time is later and evening exit time is earlier. Morning Jungle safari - 6.00 to 10.00 am & Evening jungle safari - 2.30 to 6.30 pm, the timings may vary by 1/2 hr, as they are based on the sunrise & sunset time.
Q. Which is the best zone for tiger sighting in Ranthambore National park ?
A. There is total 10 Zone in Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve. Both Canters and Jeeps travel on same tracks. You can book your safari and choose your preferred safari zone 90 days before date of visit. After 90 days required zones are subject to availability. All zones take you to the heart of the park and as such there is no bad zone. Different zones are better on different days and this can be ascertained only a day or two before.
Q. What are the chances of spotting tigers?
A. Ranthambhore is one of the best places in the world for spotting tigers. However, tigers are shy and an elusive animals and tiger sighting are a matter of chance and depends on prey density, climate, visibility, last sighting, territory specifications, alarm calls, presence of scavengers indicating a kill etc. In Ranthambore, if you do not get to see a tiger in 3-4 safaris, you should consider yourself as fairly unlucky. It is not advisable to be totally focused on tigers because you would end up missing a lot of other interesting sights.

To book safari we require Name and passport number for the Foreigner National and for Indian National need full name & address and any identity proof details ( Passport No./ Driving licence No. / Voter Id No. / Pan card No) of everyone who is traveling in advance with details of safari Date and Shift (i.e. Morning/ Afternoon)
Q. How much advance do I need to pay for safari booking?
A. Safari booking at Ranthambhore National Park is controlled by the Dept.of Forest (Govt. of India). For safari booking we require full advance payment as all safaris are booked in advance on a 100% non-refundable & non-transferable deposit basis.
