Ranthambore Tiger Reserve has become India's most earning wildlife park in the financial year 2016-17. According to the forest department statistics, Ranthambore Tiger Reserve has been ranked first in achieving revenue of Rs 23.06 Cr.
In comparison, the Tadoba Andhari Tiger reserve which is situated in Maharashtra has earned 5 crore rupees. While the Bandhavgarh National Park which is located in Madhya Pradesh and famous for dense population of tiger, earned only Rs 3.8 Cr.
Ranthambore Tiger Reserve is famous for wildlife jungle safari and it is one of the best wildlife Tiger reserves in country, which is located at sawai Madhopur district of Rajasthan. Ranthambore Tiger Reserve is heaven for wildlife enthusiast and wildlife photographer. Ranthambore Tiger Sanctuary is a home for a wide variety of wild animals and birds – Including tigers, Leopard, caracals, bears, Deers , langur and many more.
The credit for this success goes when Tatkaal, Full day and Half Day jungle Safaris from sunrise to sunset have been initiated in Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve in April 2016, another reason of the Park's success is number of growing healthy tigers with great tiger sighting during Jungle safari, due to which a large number of tourists come in Ranthambore Tiger Reserve. The new born cub's boom has been the biggest tourist attraction in Ranthambore National Park. In fact, most tourists claim to see ten tigers in a safari.
Ranthambore National Park has only one source of business through wildlife tourism for Sawai Madhopur district. With direct impact on the local economy, the district earns 350 crores from wildlife tourism every year. There are around two thousand hotel rooms and approximately twelve hundred tourist vehicles in Ranthambore. The Park revenue is estimated to reach 30 million rupees in 2017-2018.
Throughout the year, the revenue production model of Ranthambore has facilitated the up gradation of infrastructure in the park, including the installation of solar panels. This has greatly reduced the problem of facing the forest guards to face the difficulties. There are some new features including – installing wireless sets and improving connectivity, improved tracks for guard patrolling, E-patrolling and replenishing 100 waterholes. In addition, an amount of Rs. 5 crore has been fixed from Ranthambore Tiger reserve's revenue for improving the infrastructure in the Kaila Devi Sanctuary.
According to YK Sahu, CCF, wildlife, and field director, Project Tiger, Ranthambore it has really fulfilled the purpose of 'Project of Tiger' so that, in order to grow in the center of tigers as a source field and to re-develop the other forest area. The project envisions tiger reserves as breeding center, from where the additional animals will migrate to adjoining forest. Ranthambore has a lively tiger population, which is migrating to the forests of Kaila Devi Sanctuary and Bundi, Even they are migrating to Kuno Palpur Wildlife Sanctuary in Madhya Pradesh, crossing the Chambal River which is around 250 km away from Ranthambore. Our main objective is an integral part of wildlife conservation and environmental tourism.
