A male tiger cub of Tigress T-8 found dead at zone no 6 in Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve:
This news was shocked to every wildlife lover when heard about the death of the cub in an attack by a male tiger in Ranthambore National Park. A male tiger cub of T-8 was found dead on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at near Palli Darwaza of Raj Bagh forest barrier in tourist safari zone no. 06 of Ranthambore Tiger Reserve, according to the source of the Forest Department.
A Tiger cub was around one year old and related to Tigress T-8 Cub's neck, leg and rib bones were broken, as per the post-mortem report of veterinary Doctor Rajeev Garg. A four-year-old male tiger T-58 was wandering in ROPT range of the Rajbag forest area. He saw a cub near palli Darwaza in Kundal area and attacked him.
Tigress T-8 and her two cubs have territory in zone no.6 ( Kundaal) and zone No. 7 (Chidikho) of the Ranthambore Tiger Reserve while Male Tiger t-58 came first time in this area. As per the official, the tiger population has increased in Ranthambore. At present tiger population roughly calculate at around 60 including cubs.
Although, Rajasthan Government has shifted some tigers from the Ranthambore National Park to other parks in the state, following an increase in the number of big cats and territorial fights between them. At least five male tigers have been killed in the regional fights among the over the past five years at Ranthambore National park in sawai madhopur District of Rajasthan.
