The incident is from Kaneti village, located near the buffer zone of Ranthambore National Park in Rajasthan, where a tiger attacked and killed a shepherd.
Conservator of Forests (CF) of Ranthambore National Park, Tikam Chand Verma said, "Administration received information from the patrolling team that a tiger killed a shepherd. He is a resident of Kaneti village in the Khandar area adjacent to the national park. "
Forest officials in Ranthambore identified the victim as 40-year-old Pappu Gurjar, but the tiger has not been identified yet. Kaneti village is located in the periphery of the national park. This is disturbing news in Ranthambore National Park, which attracts tourists from all over the country.
Pappu Lal Gurjar, a shepherd, was grazing his goats in the Baler area of the Khandar range of Ranthambore National Park in Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan. Just then, a tiger hiding in a thick forest of bushes attacked Pappu Lal Gurjar, who was grazing the goat herd and killed it on sight. Villagers working nearby shouted Tiger out of there.
After this incident, there is panic in the entire area. On getting information about the incident, the top officials and employees of the forest department reached the village of the deceased, where they also faced the opposition of the villagers.
The body of the shepherd was brought to the hospital at Khandar by Baharawanda Kalan Police Station, where post mortem of the dead body was done in the presence of the medical board. There is a deep wound of Tiger's attack on the deceased's throat.
Forest department officials are anticipating the attack by the young tiger of Tiger T72. At present, the Forest Department team has started tracking the tiger. So that such an incident does not happen again and the fear of the people around can be eradicated.
The forest official said that a patrolling team had warned the villagers that tigers may move closer to their homes. He said that prima facie it appears that when the tiger attacked the man, he did not eat it. Verma said that the forest department will give a compensation of Rs 4 lakh to the family of the deceased person.
