On Thursday, March 9, 2023, once again a tigress was shifted from Ranthambore National Park to Sariska for rehabilitation. Tigress T-134, shifted from Ranthambore on Thursday, will now become the queen of Sariska. This tigress was tranquilized by the Forest Department team from the non-tourist area of Ranthambore.
In the presence of Ranthambore's field director Seduram Yadav and other top forest officials, the team of the forest department carried out the operation of shifting the tigress. Forest officials said that the forest department team reached the forest at around 6 am to tranquilize the tigress. The team started trekking to locate the tigress and after a continuous effort of six hours succeeded in tranquilizing tigress T-134 at Jade Kho in Khandar range at around 12 noon.
Ranthambore's tranquilize team including forest department officials reached Khandar range of Ranthambore, where the team tranquilized tigress T-134. After tranquilizing the tigress, the veterinary team of Ranthambore conducted a health checkup of the tigress in the presence of forest officials. After this the Sariska team reached Ranthambore and left with the tigress. The tigress was sent by road to Sariska in Alwar.
About Tigress T 134
Tigress T-134 shifted from Ranthambore to Sariska is the daughter of Tigress T-93. Its age is about three and a half years. Tigress T-93 is now roaming with new cubs. There is also movement of other tigers in this area. Tigress T 134 has not become a mother even once.
For the first time tigress T-93 gave birth to three cubs. Among them were two male and one female cub. They were given the names T-132, T-133 and T-134 by the Forest Department.
Tiger clan growing in Ranthambore
The number of tigers and tigresses is continuously increasing in Ranthambore. Due to this, many times there is a mutual conflict between the tigers regarding the territory. In such a situation, after taking permission from the NTCA, the Forest Department shifted a tiger T-110 to Mukundra in Kota on 3 November 2022 and a tiger T-113 to Sariska on 16 October 2022.

In this episode, once again the forest department has shifted the tigress T-134 from Ranthambore to Sariska, so that there is no conflict between tigers in Ranthambore, while the tiger population can increase in Sariska as well.
Sariska tiger-tigress gift of Ranthambore National Park
Ranthambore has been populating Sariska with tigers. Presently all the tigers and tigresses in Sariska are the gift of Ranthambore. Tigers have been sent to Sariska from Ranthambore only.
4 tiger-tigresses shifting in a year
Four tigers and tigresses have been shifted from Ranthambore Sanctuary in a year. These include two tigers and two tigresses.
In July last year, tigress T-102 was shifted from Aamghati forest area of Ranthambore to Ramgarh Vishdhari Tiger Reserve in Bundi by the forest department.
Tiger T-113 was shifted from zone five of Ranthambore to Sariska Tiger Reserve.
Tiger T-110 from Ranthambore's Phalodi range has been tranquilized and shifted to Kota's Mukundara Hills Tiger Reserve.
Now on Thursday, tigress T-134 has been shifted to Sariska from Khandar range of Ranthambore. Apart from these, after the death of a tigress T-114 last month, two cubs were also shifted to Abheda Park in Kota for protection.
