A bad news has come out for the wildlife lovers on Tuesday 24 May 2022 from Ranthambore National Park in Sawai Madhopur district. The forest department found the carcass of the cub of tigress T-69 near Nila Pattha forest area of Goth Bihari forest area of Khandar range of Ranthambore.
Forest officials have reached the spot on the information of the death of the tigress cub. The forest department team took the carcass of the female cub of tigress T69. After this the body was brought to Gilai Sagar. According to officials, the age of the tigress female cub is about 16-17 months. In the presence of forest officials and administrative officials, the post-mortem of the cub was done and the last rites were performed.
Conflict is being expressed with Male Tiger
Forest officials said that in the area where the carcass of the tigress cub was found, there is usually movement of male tiger T-74 and tiger T-38. According to the information, a tiger had hunted a sambar in the Nila Pattha forest area.
It is being speculated that the tigress may have tried to eat the prey done by the tiger. In such a situation, there is a possibility of conflict between tiger and tigress over hunting.
More than five wounds on the body
Forest officials said that the body of the tigress has wound marks at many places like mouth, stomach, legs etc. In such a situation, the possibility of a tigress colliding with a tiger cannot be ruled out. According to forest officials, the age of the tigress was around 16 months.
Two tigress died in a month
In less than a month, two tigresses have died in Ranthambore. Recently, the body of tigress T-61 was found in the forest area of Jamoda stream of Zone 7 of Ranthambore. The post-mortem of this tigress was done in Rajbagh forest area. Now the case of death of female cub of tigress T-69 has come to the fore.
Tigress T 69 was seen with two cubs
According to the information, on April 30, 2021, tigress T-69 along with two new cubs was captured in the cameras of the Forest Department in the Kati Ghati forest area of Aam chowki , Khandar range of Ranthambore Tiger Project. The cubs were about three months old at that time. The sighting of the tigress with two cubs had created a wave of happiness among wildlife lovers. For the safety of the tigress and cubs, forest officials had increased surveillance. Now the wildlife lovers are disappointed with the body of the tigress cub.
