Tigress “Arrowhead” spotted with 2 cubs in Ranthambore National Park, Became a mother for the third time

There is a good news for wildlife lovers from Ranthambore National Park. Forest personnel have spotted the famous tigress Arrowhead alias T-86 of Ranthambore along with two small cubs while patrolling in Zone 2 of the park.

Tigress Arrowhead is the mother of famous tigress sister Riddhi-Siddhi and now she has become a mother for the third time. The cubs from the first litter of tigress arrowhead could not survive. The tigress Arrowhead gave birth to two female cubs in her second litter, which are popularly known as Riddhi-Siddhi.

This is the third litter of Ranthambore's famous tigress Arrowhead T-84. The cubs are likely to be over a month old. The forest department is monitoring the tigress and the cubs.

Tigress "Arrowhead" aka T-84 is the descendant (granddaughter) of the famous tigress "Machli" aka T-16 of Ranthambore and the daughter of tigress Krishna aka T -19.

The third litter of tigress Arrowhead in Rajasthan's Ranthambore Tiger Reserve delighted wildlife lovers. On Tuesday, tigress T-84 was seen with two cubs. The tiger population in Ranthambore Tiger Reserve has gone up to 70.

The tigress was seen along with the cubs near the Naal- Ghati (Valley) forest area in Zone-2 of Ranthambore. According to the information received from the Forest Department, 'Tiger Arrowhead is about seven years old and the newborn cubs have been seen with the mother for the first time.

The birth of 35 tiger cubs has been recorded in the last three years in Rajasthan. Rajasthan has now become the state with the ninth largest population of big cats in India.

Although in the past there were indications that the tigress has given birth to cubs

There was a possibility of Ranthambore's tigress Arrowhead T-84 becoming a mother or giving birth to cubs soon. In such a situation, wildlife lovers were waiting for new guests in Ranthambore in the coming days. It was expected that soon the cries of the cubs would resonate in Ranthambore.

On Saturday, 26 June 2021, nature guide Wasim Akhtar and tourists, who went for a Jungle Safari in zone three in the evening innings, took photographs of the tigress roaming in the Padam Lake area. Looking at the physical appearance of the tigress, it was being expected that either the tigress had become a mother or would soon become a mother and increase the family of tigers in Ranthambore.

Riddhi-Siddhi, the daughter of tigress T-84, popularly known as Arrowhead in Ranthambore, is now young. Tigress Arrowhead's daughter Riddhi has been identified as T-124 in Ranthambore and tigress Siddhi as T-125.

The news of the birth of tiny cubs of Tigress Arrowhead has excited wildlife lovers, but it is a cause of concern for the park managers as the tiger population in Ranthambore is increasing rapidly.

Both female Arrowhead cubs are now fully young and have even fought each other for territory. There has also been a bloody struggle between the three mothers and daughters over the possession of the variance area. In this regard, the Forest Department is contemplating to shift the tigress Riddhi.
