Ranthambore National Park, which has a world-wide identity about tiger habitats, is now in the news due to not only tigers but also bears known as rare species. In Ranthambore these days, along with tigers, bears are also becoming the center of tourist attraction. The species of bears was once on the verge of extinction in Ranthambore, but now the number of bears is steadily increasing. 

There is also a wave of happiness among wildlife lovers about this. According to experts, the long life of any forest area depends only on the number of bears moving there.

Very few people know that the bear eats the termites of tree plants in the forest, which gives life to the vegetation. With the increase in the number of tigers in Ranthambore, tourists have started seeing more bears. These days, in Ranthambore Zone 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10, tourists are getting plenty of tiger sightings as well as bears.

According to wildlife experts, the average age of bears is around 12 years. The tigers are also afraid of attacking the bear due to the pointed nails of the bear.

According to CCF Tikam Chand Verma of Ranthambore, grassland in Ranthambore has developed a lot in the last few years. The number of bears has also increased due to the development of grass land, which is a pleasant news for Ranthambore in terms of forest and wildlife conservation.

In Ranthambore, where the number of bears was only 60 to 70 in the year 2014-15, the number of bears has now reached close to 100. In such a situation, tourists visiting Ranthambore are getting good sighting of tigers as well as sloth bears.
