Finally, now the Forest Department has started an exercise to promote tourism in the National Chambal Gharial Sanctuary. Under this, in the first phase, once again boating facility has been started for tourists at Palighat of Chambal Sanctuary by the Forest Department.

A total of 15 boats have been brought by the Forest Department on the basis of tender process for Chambal Safari in Ranthambore. According to the Forest Department, a total of 15 boats are currently being operated for tourists in Chambal Gharial Sanctuary, Sawai Madhopur. Out of this, 12 boats are being operated at Palighat, sawai Madhopur and 3 boats in Dholpur area.

Tourism benefits from Chambal Safari

With the introduction of boating in Chambal Sanctuary, another option of tourism has developed in Ranthambore of Sawai Madhopur district. With the start of the boat ride, tourism will increase in the National Chambal Gharial Sanctuary located at Palighat in Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan.

This will increase tourism as well as increase employment opportunities. Along with this, the income of the Forest Department will also increase.

Safari Fee in Chambal Gharial Sanctuary Ranthambore

On behalf of the Forest Department, ₹ 615 is being charged from Indian tourists for boating in Chambal Sanctuary. In this, ₹ 75 is being charged as entry fee and ₹ 540 as boat fare. At the same time ₹ 940 is being charged from foreign tourists. In this, ₹ 400 entry fee and ₹ 540 boat fare is being charged.

Development proposal sent to the government

According to the information received from the Forest Department, there is also a plan to do plantation work on both sides of the Chambal River to promote tourism in Palighat on the lines of Madhya Pradesh.

Also, for the convenience of tourists, there is a plan to construct rest houses etc. For this, a proposal has also been sent by the department to the higher officials. From there, development works will be carried out only after getting the budget and approval.
