"I am giving an update of a very sad incident that I witnessed in Ranthambhore .. a day before Holi . We were on a full day .. and after the morning safari decided to explore zone 10 . With not much activity, we decided to head back to explore zone 4 . It was around 1.30 that we entered the Main Road which leads to the gate . Because of Holi .. we saw a lot of people on foot and on bike and car . The traffic on that road seemed busy. At one of the water points ( Mishra Darrah ) , we saw some people taking selfies . I asked my guide, Bobby .. " Is'nt this Arrowheads area, and people are walking around and taking selfie. A tiger can come anytime " . He just smiled, sort of indicating that nothing can be done .. As we headed a few 100 meters, (around the Adda Balaji Temple area ) .. we heard loud langur calls . There is a small pond on the left of the road .. and we could see the ripples in the water . We reversed our vehicle , and parked it on the side. Just then .. Bobby said .. "get ready .. Leopard will cross the road" .. Suddenly the leopard jumped from the bushes to cross the road .. but unfortunately a bike was coming from the other side, with three men on it. The leopard crashed on to the bike .. causing the bike to skid . The pictures will tell the rest of the story .Fortunalely the leopard and the men escaped with very minor injuries . It is high time that the Ranthambhore forest authorities decide to regulate free movement of people on this road."
