There are two types of vehicles for Jungle Safari in Ranthambore National Park, including Jeep and Canter BUT now Forest Department is preparing to run electric vehicles once again for jungle safari in Ranthambore Tiger Reserve. For this, the forest department has started practice. According to information received from the forest department, a private foreign company has been instructed to prepare the selected electric vehicles for Ranthambore Jungle Safari operation. If everything is fine then, from the upcoming tourist season, both Indian and foreign tourist will be able to visit Ranthambore National Park by electric safari vehicles. Electric safari vehicle has been trialed at zone No.7 in Ranthambore

In the Ranthambore National Park, preparations are being made to start the operation of electric jungle safari vehicles by the forest department. For this, the testing of electric safari vehicle has also been started by the Forest department in Ranthambore. Under this, the electric safari vehicle was sent to the trial at zone 7 of Ranthambore National Park in the afternoon shift. About ten days ago, an electric safari vehicle was sent for the trial in Zone No. 6 of Ranthambore National Park.

Electric safari vehicle was tried in the month of September last year too.

Efforts to operate electric vehicles in Ranthambore have also been done in the past. Under this, the electric vehicles were sent to the park in the month of September last year, but in Ranthambore's rocky and climbing paths, the test of the electric vehicle was unsuccessful. In such a situation, then this project remained incomplete in the middle.

Increase in vehicle pick-up

People associated with the forest officials and the electric vehicle company told that the vehicle which was trials in Ranthambore, operation of electric safari vehicle in Ranthambhore was not started due to its short wheels and the pick-up was low. Now the pickup of the electric vehicle has been increased. In addition, the width and size of vehicle wheels has been also increased. Apart from this, the electric vehicle is now being developed on the lines of currently operated safari Jeep in Ranthambore.

The exercise of reducing pollution in the forest

The forest officials informed that at present, jungle Safari vehicles are being operated from petrol and diesel in Ranthambhore, due to which pollution occurs in the forest. In this way, efforts are being made to reduce pollution by starting Eco-friendly electric safari vehicles in Ranthambore National park.

The price of six-seater electric vehicle in Ranthambore is being pegged at around six to seven lakh rupees. In comparison to this, the cost of six seater jeeps operated in Ranthambhore ranges from eight to nine lakh.
