A Joyous Arrival

Siddhi, the famous tigress of Ranthambore National Park, has recently become the mother of three cubs. Rajasthan Forest Minister Sanjay Sharma shared the news via social media, along with adorable pictures of tigress Siddhi and her cubs captured by the park's photo trap cameras. The pictures show Siddhi taking care of her new-born in the lush green surroundings of the Kundera range in Ranthambore.

Conservation Efforts Paying Off

According to the forest department, Siddhi gave birth to the cubs in the Antpura forest area of Zone 5 of Ranthambore. The Ranthambore Forest Department has begun vigilant monitoring to ensure the safety and well-being of Siddhi and her cubs. Tigress Siddhi, around six-and-a-half years old, is the daughter of Ranthambore's famous tigress Arrowhead (T-84) and sister of Riddhi (T-124). Her lineage contributes significantly to the tiger population in Ranthambore. Tigress Siddhi has given birth to cubs for the first time. It is being told that the age of the cubs is about 2 to 3 months.

Boosting the Tiger Population

With the birth of Siddhi's cubs, the number of tigers in Ranthambore has now increased to 81, which includes tigers, tigresses and cubs. The increase in the number of tigers in Ranthambore is not only a positive sign for the ecosystem of the park but also highlights the successful conservation efforts by the forest department.

The arrival of these cubs has raised new hopes for tiger conservation in India. It underlines the importance of protected areas like Ranthambore in conserving endangered species.
