Tigress Sultana ran after the forest guard with the intention of attacking: Ranthambore
A forest guard in Ranthambore National Park held his breath for a moment on Wednesday morning when a tigress chased him while patrolling the forest. The tigress ran after the forest guard for about 20 meters, however later the tigress stopped. The forest guard heaved a sigh of relief only after the tigress stopped.
According to the information, the matter is on Wednesday morning on 24 November 2021. At around 9.30 in the morning, the forest guard had gone on a bike for patrolling in zone one of Ranthambore.
During patrolling, on the road going from Sultanpur to Gudha, the tigress T107 i.e. Sultana suddenly got agitated on seeing the bike rider forest guard and the tigress tried to attack the forest guard. During this, the tigress also chased the bike rider. However, later the tigress stopped and stopped chasing the bike-riding forest guard.
Forest department closed zone 1 for tourism
After the incident, the forest department has also swung into action. The Forest Department has stopped tourism in Zone 1 of Ranthambore as a precaution and has banned the entry of tourist vehicles in Zone-1 till further orders.
At the same time, continuous monitoring of tigress is being done by the Forest Department. For this, cameras have also been installed by the department at many places in zone one. Right now the department has not decided how long this zone will be closed for tourism.

Chances of being with the cubs
Tigress Sultana lives with three cubs in Zone 1 of Ranthambhore National Park. The movement of the tigress along with its cubs also remains on the road leading to Sultanpur outpost of Zone 1.
According to the information received from the forest department, when the tigress had chased the bike-riding forest guard, her cubs were not seen with the tigress. But the possibility cannot be ruled out that at that time the tigress's cubs were somewhere nearby and for the safety of the cubs, the tigress had tried to charge the bike-riding forest guard.
The tigress has run behind the tourist vehicle in the past too
This is not the first case of sudden flare-up of Sultana, the tigress of Ranthambore National Park. Earlier on December 1, 2019, in Zone I, the tigress Sultana ran for about 100 meters behind a Canter full of tourists. After this, action was also taken against the canter driver by the forest department.
