Tigress T -111 aka Shakti is following in mother's footsteps in Ranthambore

Due to better protection of tigers in Ranthambore National Park, tiger population is continuously increasing. Recently in the Kundera range of Ranthambore, tigress T111 alias Shakti has been spotted for the first time with four cubs in the Lakarda forest area.

Tigress T- 111 is seen following in the footsteps of her mother Krishna i.e. T 19 in the matter of giving birth to cubs. Tigress T 111's mother Krishna has also given birth to four cubs twice.

According to the information received from the Forest Department, T-19 aka Krishna has given birth to 11 cubs so far. Of these, seven are currently residing in Ranthambore. One tigress has been shifted to Mukundra Hills Tiger Reserve in Kota while three cubs have died. Of these, Male Tiger "Packman" T -85 died in the conflict over the territory.

Tigress T-19 gave birth to four cubs each in the second and third litter. The mother of tigress T 111, Krishna also gave birth to four cubs together in her second and third litter in Ranthambore.

Krishna alias T-19 gave birth to Packman, Arrowhead, Lightning and another cub in the second litter of Rajbagh area in 2015. The crocodile killed a cub of Krishna.

While in the third litter, while taking tourists for a safari near Berda stream, a driver was seen four cubs with Krishna aka T -19. However, later in 2018, only two male and one female cub were seen with the tigress. Which were named T- 111, T -112 and T -113 by the forest department.

At the same time, Krishna had given birth to three cubs in the first litter in the Lahpur forest area, which includes two male and one female cub.

Granny i.e. Machli gave birth to maximum number of cubs

Tigress T 111 is also related to the famous tigress T-16 aka Machli of Ranthambore. T 111's maternal mother Machli had given birth to the maximum 13 cubs in Ranthambore, out of which two died.
