Tigress T-111 gave birth to four cubs in Ranthambore National Park
Once again the birth of little cubs in Ranthambore has created a wave of happiness among wildlife lovers. Tigress T111 was spotted with new cubs in Ranthambore National Park on Saturday.
According to the Forest Department, around 9.30 am on Saturday morning, Ranthambore's field biologist Harimohan Meena had seen four cubs in the Lakarda forest area of Ranthambore's Kundera range.
The age of the cubs is said to be between two and a half to three months. But at that time the field biologist did not see the mother with the cubs.
Forest officials said that since the appearance of the new cubs, continuous monitoring and trekking has been started by the forest department in the area. During this, the forest officials also saw the mother along with the cubs. Forest officials said the tigress has been identified as T 111.
Department installed cameras
The Forest Department has also installed photo trap cameras in and around the forest area to monitor the tigress and cubs. Tigress T 111 and her cubs are being continuously monitored by the Forest Department.
Which tigress is T-111?
Tigress T 111 is a tigress of the Machli family tree. This tigress is the daughter of Krishna aka T19. Krishna aka T19 is the daughter of the famous tigress Machli of Ranthambore. The territory of this tigress is in the forest area like Lakarda, Semli, Aadi Dagar etc.
Tigress T 111 has given birth to cubs for the first time in Ranthambore. The change in the body structure of the tigress was seen about two months ago. Since then, there were speculations that the tigress would become a mother. The age of tigress T-111 is about four years.

How many tigers are there in Ranthambore?
The total number of tigers and tigress in Ranthambore is 69, which includes 21 male tigers, 30 female tigers and 18 cubs. (As per 2018 data) Ranthambore National Park has maximum tiger population in Rajasthan.

33 tigers increased in the state in 3 years. After the birth of 4 cubs of tigress T-111 in Ranthambore, now Rajasthan has 102 tigers. Rajasthan has become the 9th state in the country to have more than a hundred tigers. Rajasthan has now become a new stronghold of tigers.
Now the total number of tigers in the state has gone up to 102. The special thing is that Rajasthan has become the ninth state of the country with more than 100 tigers. In three years only 33 tigers have increased here.
