Ranthambore National Park will be reopened for tourists from October 1 after a gap of 3 months of monsoon. After being closed for three months, zones 1 to 5 of Ranthambore National Park will be opened for tourists from October 1.

Like every year, zones 1 to 5 of Ranthambore National Park are closed for safari in the monsoon season i.e. July, August and September. Whereas zone number 6 to 10 remains open for jungle safari in monsoon. Wildlife enthusiasts will get a chance to visit Zones 1 to 5 after the monsoon break.

Ranthambore National Park (Zones 1 to 5) in Sawai Madhopur and Sariska Tiger Reserve in Alwar remain closed on July 1 due to the monsoon season. Now tourists will be able to visit both the parks from October 1. There is a lot of enthusiasm among tourists and wildlife lovers about this.

An official of the Forest Department said that all preparations have been made to reopen the parks for tourists. After 3 months of rain, greenery is seen all around in Ranthambore Tiger Reserve. Waterfalls, streams and greenery in Ranthambore National Park make it more beautiful during the rainy season. During the rainy season, the vegetation spreads a lot.

The area of Ranthambore is about 1734 square kilometers. Ranthambore Tiger Reserve is surrounded by Aravalli and Vindhya hills which cover the green sheet during the rainy season. Ranthambore has the highest number of Dhonk trees (Anogeissus Pendula) which turn quite green in monsoon. Wildlife enthusiasts will have the opportunity to witness the Dhonk tree and around 300 plant species during the Ranthambore Jungle Safari, which would have sprouted during the monsoon period.
