Tigress T-60 died in Ranthambore: During delivery, the cub's mouth remained outside and neck inside, it died due to pain
These days bad news is continuously coming from Ranthambore Tiger Reserve. Fourteen-year-old tigress T-60 died during delivery in Ranthambore on Sunday, 4 February, 2024.
These days the sequence of bad news coming out in Ranthambore Tiger Project is not stopping. On Saturday, tigress T-99 i.e. Aishwarya of Phalodi range of Ranthambore became a victim of abortion. The death of Tigress T-60 on Sunday has made the atmosphere sad.
According to the information received from the Forest Department, the dead body of a pregnant tigress was seen by the forest personnel during patrolling in Lahpur and Gudha forest area of Ranthambore.
Forest personnel informed the authorities. Forest officials reached the spot and the body of the tigress was brought to Rajbagh Naka where the tigress was cremated after post-mortem. Earlier on Saturday, tigress T-99 Aishwarya of Phalodi range of Ranthambore had premature delivery. The tigress had given birth to a dead fetus.

Tigress T 60 died during labor pain
Tigress T60 died during delivery. Veterinarian Rajiv Garg told that the tigress was about to give birth to a cub but she could not give birth to the cub. During this time the cub's mouth remained outside and its body remained inside. Due to this the tigress died. Doctor Garg said that no injury of any kind was found in the body of the tigress.
Tigress T 60 was known as Junior Indu
Forest officials said that Tigress T-60 was the offspring of Tigress T-31. Tigress T-31 was also known as Indu. In such a situation, Tigress T-60 was also named Junior Indu by the Forest Department and wildlife lovers.

Gave birth to cubs twice
Tigress T-60 used to roam in non-tourism and tourism zone 2 of Ranthambore. This tigress was seen for the first time on March 4, 2016 with three cubs. After this, in April 2019, this tigress was seen with cubs.
Last rites performed at Rajbagh Naka
Forest officials said that the forest department team brought the body of the tigress to Rajbagh outpost of the city. The body was cremated there in the evening in the presence of forest and administrative officials.
