Tiger T 58 Found Dead in Ranthambore After Morning Buffalo Hunt
Tiger T-58 had hunted a buffalo in the morning, its body was found in Hindwad Village in the evening
On the evening of Sunday 7th July 2024, sad news has come from Ranthambore. The male tiger T 58 of Rajasthan's Ranthambore National Park died on Sunday evening after he had come out of the jungle and hunted a buffalo in the morning in the Hindwad village.
Tiger T-58 aka Rocky of Ranthambore National Park in Sawai Madhopur died. In the evening, he was found dead near Hindwara village near zone 10 of Ranthambore National Park. It is being told that tiger had hunted a buffalo in the morning. However, a video of Tiger T 58 sitting near the road has also gone viral on social media. The officer said that his activities were normal throughout the day. He had also drunk water. However, he was found dead in the evening near water body.

In fact, on Sunday morning, the male tiger T-58 came out of the forest near Hindwad village adjacent to the Phalodi range of Ranthambore National Park. He also hunted a buffalo in Hindwad village. According to the forest official, the age of the tiger was 13.5 years. There was an atmosphere of panic among the villagers when the tiger came out of the forest and entered the village.
The villagers informed the forest department about this. The Deputy Field Director of Ranthambore Tiger Project said that the tiger was monitored throughout the day when it was sitting near Hindwar village. During this period, the tiger's activities remained normal throughout the day and the tiger also drank water. However, in the evening no movement was seen in the body of the tiger and when the spot was inspected, it was found dead.
Tiger T 58 Postmortem Report
Tiger T 58 was cremated after postmortem on Monday 8th July 2024 in the presence of Ranthambore forest officials. Rajasthan State Forest Minister Sanjay Sharma has expressed condolences over the death of Tiger-58 in Ranthambore. The forest department report said the cause of death of tiger T 58 was heart attack.
The Tiger T-58 was known as Rocky. The age of the tiger was about 13.5 years. This tiger used to roam in zone numbers 6, 7, 8 and 10 of Ranthambore. This tiger was the offspring of Ranthambore's famous tigress T-26 i.e. Sharmilee. Tourists usually get to see it in zones 6 to 10 of Ranthambore.
