Change in the nature of tigress due to being in heat

The reason for the anger of the tigress Sultana T 107 in Ranthambore National Park is being told that there has been a change in her nature. Forest department officials have come to the same conclusion after watching her video and monitoring it.

It is worth noting that recently a shocking video of tigress Sultana went viral. In this video, Sultana, the famous young tigress of Ranthambore, was seen running after the gypsy of tourists during Jungle Safari. Thankfully no untoward incident happened during this period.

But when the forest department tried to understand this behavior of tigress Sultana, it came to know that the tigress is in heat. According to forest department officials, when the tigress is on heat, there are many changes in its hormones and its nature becomes fierce. Due to the change in the hormones of the tigress, there is anger in the nature. 

Jungle Safari is closed in zone one

Recently, Zone 1 of Ranthambore was closed for tourists by the forest department after a case of tigress Sultana chasing after tourists jeep during a jungle safari in Ranthambore National Park. Since then Zone 1 is closed for Tiger Safari in Ranthambore. So far this safari zone has not been reopened for tourists by the forest department.

The movement of tigress Sultana on Ranthambore road remains constant. People are horrified by the movement of the tigress on the main Ranthambore fort road. Devotees visiting Ranthambore Ganesh temple are also beginning to feel threatened. However, full monitoring is being done by the Forest Department and people are being alerted.

PCCF had summoned the report

According to sources, taking the matter seriously, the PCCF of the Forest Department had sought a report in this regard from the forest officials of Ranthambore.

When the Chief Wildlife Warden of the Forest Department called for the report regarding the matter, it was found that the reason behind the aggressive behavior of tigress Sultana is her being on heat.

The tigress Sultana was with the cubs for a long time. But the tigress Sultana is now separating from her cubs. In such a situation, the tigress is now again preparing to find a new tiger and mate with it. When a tigress is in heat, many hormonal changes take place in her body. She becomes very irritable during those changes.

Tigress movement on Ranthambore Fort / Ganesh Temple Road

The tigress Sultana of Ranthambore National Park i.e. T-107 once again appeared on Trinetra Ganesh temple road on Thursday, 6 January 2022. According to the information, the tigress came out of Singhdwar at around five o'clock in the evening on Ganesh Mandir Road. The tigress continued to walk on the road for about five minutes.

After this the movement of the tigress went back to the forest and the tigress moved from Singhdwar to Zone 4 and 5. After this the tigress was seen going towards Ghankhorra via Jharokha. However, the behavior of the tigress appeared normal.

It is noteworthy that during the jungle safari in the morning shift of 2 January 2022, the tigress T-107 i.e. Sultana ran after two gypsies full of tourists near Singhdwar in Zone 1. In such a situation, the gypsy drivers ran the gypsy in back gear for about thirty meters, took the gypsy away from the tigress and saved the tourists.

Even before this, this tigress has done this twice. In the past, the tigress ran with a canter and once put her paws on the back of the gypsy. At the same time, on November 24, Sultana had also chased two forest workers patrolling the bike for some distance. However, after this the forest department closed zone one for tourists as a precaution.

Since January 2, after the case of charging gypsies by the tigress Sultana, as a precaution, zone one has been closed for tourism till further orders. Forest officials said that on the instructions of higher officials, zone one has been closed for tourists.
